Our necklaces are hand carved by Murugan in Tamil Nadu using local marble, a material traditionally used for personal tokens as it’s thought to have a calming effect on the wearer.
Like the natural dyes we use which have been used for their medicinal qualities, it’s a matter of opinion how effectual a stone can be on your well-being, but it’s undeniable the workmanship makes these items beautiful.
Marble is a natural material forged by the earth, so colour and natural pattern cannot be guaranteed. Some are deep black, some look like they’re made of cookie dough. Items are finished with chalk (which will wash away), adjustable cord and tulsi (wild basil) beads.
